Meeting my spirit guide (2005)



Looking through various pamphlets one day, a forgiveness workshop in a nearby Brisbane healing centre caught my eye. Although I was sure that I had done enough work forgiving Milan, I felt so drawn to it that I assumed I still had some forgiveness issues to sort out with him. To my surprise, there was a different one to handle. As I looked inside my soul in the workshop, I saw many guides surrounding me, pushing a young man towards me. He came to me crying and asking for forgiveness for cutting short my grieving process for Darryl and causing me unbearable suffering which was still with me. I was so incensed by him that I actually vent my anger by beating him and advising him not to do any guidance work until he got more experience, before forgiving and allowing both of us to move on. Forgiveness came a lot faster and easier this time as I forgave for my sake, not for his. By this time I understood that he did what he did out of ignorance and I left him to his karma. I was also made to understand that the spirit world is not all good and wonderful, that it too contains good and evil and that there are entities one needs to protect oneself from.

Another highlight of my Brisbane visit was a workshop with Russell Holland called Meeting your guardian angel. Although Russell had already worked with angels, this was a new workshop that he set up and as he informed us, even he wasn’t sure what to expect. About ten people attended the workshop and Russell made sure we were all wrapped in a golden protective light, before receiving guided information. When the meditation was over, he was curious to hear of our experiences and was getting very disappointed as participant after participant informed him they didn’t receive much. Then he turned to me.

To this day, I clearly remember my main guide appearing before me for the first time. He was tall, about sixty-seventy years old, with long flowing white hair. He had clear blue eyes and wore a long dark cloak studded with stars. Looked exactly like a wizard and I was absolutely stunned. During the meditation, Russell instructed us, among other things, to ask about the length of time we had on the planet. I saw the Grim Reaper appear, though he didn’t feel grim at all. He pointed at a watch on his hand, waved his hand at me and laughingly informed me I still had plenty of time left here.

I immediately felt tremendous bond with my Druid wizard guide whom I came to call Starman. We have been inseparable ever since and he has already taught me a lot. He and Darryl (spiritual name Ahshayel) became my family, my main source of strength and support. His portrait now also hangs in my bedroom, next to Ahshayel’s. Russell informed me that Starman came through to me at that particular time as I was about to face my second initiation. Not that I recalled what that was about but needless to say, I soon found out.

Lessons learnt:

  • We are NEVER alone and have spirits working with us

  • There are different forms of spirits, some are not friendly

  • We need to protect ourselves from the harmful ones
