The Soul's Path (2007)



The late 1980s and early 1990s were very painful, yet extremely fruitful years for me as they well and truly provided me with many opportunities for learning and progressing on my spiritual path. I was afflicted with various autoimmune illnesses that could have potentially caused me even bigger health problems. The terror of possibly losing my eyesight was a huge incentive for healing  my body, at any cost. Since the doctors foretold probable side effects of their medicine, including cancer, in attempting to save it, I decided to look at alternative methods of healing that I knew absolutely nothing about.

My despair first brought me to Adam Nichols who over a few months successfully treated the candida that doctors insisted was in my head! The treatment of iritis proved much more difficult and took many years and different healers/healing methods to resolve. Because Adam is, among many other things a naturopath, he commenced my healing by eliminating certain harmful foods from my diet, not only with regard to the candida but also iritis. For example, we discovered that simple tomatoes adversely affected the iritis. While bilberry concentrate, along with visualisation, strengthened the eyes and kept their pressure down when taking steroid drops. Adam and I always chuckled when the low eye pressure baffled my opthalmologists! Not that they ever enquired why it was low when it was high in other patients!

Since Adam is also a spiritual healer, he began to teach me even more than Silva about the connection between a physical illness and spiritual growth. As previously my philosophy lecturers and Silva instructors, Adam reinforced the idea of each spiritual being’s free will, i.e. to choose one’s  life and actions. He too explained that we all come here to learn lessons in order to advance our souls. Because we have an average of 600 lives here, we have many experiences that give us opportunities for this growth. The best such opportunities are painful ones as we seem to learn much faster through pain!
I clearly recall hanging around mum’s woodfire oven when I was about three years old, being absolutely fascinated by the hot red glow of the cooking plates. And mum constantly telling me to stay away/keep my hands away from them as I could get hurt. Of course, her warnings didn’t mean anything to me as I had no experience of what she was trying to warn me about. So sure enough, one day the glow was just too enticing to resist and I touched them. I still recall the pain of my burnt little fingers!!! Needless to say, mum didn’t have to say another word after that!!! So it is with our lives. If they are too painful, we may not be able to resolve the lessons and/or heal the pain in one lifetime and may therefore have to do so during several ones.

Neither the doctors nor Adam were able to pinpoint the exact cause of my iritis, as is still generally the case. Unlike the doctors, Adam knew I had to dig much much deeper inside my spiritual bodies to get to the cause in order to heal my chronic illness. Much further than even psychology could take me. Thus began another incredible journey not only into the spirit world but also to the origins of this planet, universe and God, aka Prime Creator.

Adam referred me to many other spiritual healers who assisted me in peeling away layer after layer of ego, fear, resistance and other blockages, while getting closer to the cause of my pain, manifesting as iritis. Rhondda Stewart was one of the first ones. And one of her healing methods at the time was the clearing and balancing of blueprints. Like Robert Schwartz, Rhondda explained to me that with the assistance of our  spiritual guides   we create our soul’s plan for each life here, with lessons and challenges encoded into each of our chakras in the spiritual bodies. And that these often include memories of the same lessons and challenges we/other aspects of our soul group attempted to master in previous lives.

Rhondda explained that this pre-birth planning process is very much like learning to drive:

  1. You first decide to drive a car

  2. You then learn the road rules, familiarise yourself  with the car and learn to drive

  3. You get a license and start driving. But you can’t just drive any way you want or go in any direction if you want to reach a certain destination

  4. You must first know where you are going and then follow the traffic rules if you want to get there. Because you have free will, you can of course take many different roads. Stopping, turning, driving slowly or fast, on a straight road or uphill. If you’re serious about reaching your destination, you will! If you’re not, you can keep on sidetracking or even turning back home, nobody will stop you. The traffic rules are there to help you, if you don’t follow them, not only will you not reach your destination but you could get penalised if you break them!

Like traffic signs, your spiritual guides are always there to help you, they are with you during your entire time here. They help you to stay on the track you chose for yourself this time but because of your free will, are powerless to interfere if you choose to deviate from it. If you do, the penalty to you is a missed learning opportunity and yet another wasted life! 

Lessons learnt:

  • You decide your life’s path and lessons before you start each life on this planet

  • You plan each life and its blueprint with your guides in order to master the lessons your soul wishes to learn

  • You will be supported on you path by your guidance and will be given the opportunities to learn those lesson
