For a fleeting moment... (2004)



Once again, my world came tumbling down at this news. My heart flooded with incredible pain, physical and emotional, as the four lower Chakras  couldn’t take yet another negative load and exploded. I couldn’t stop crying because of this loss. I not only felt my pain but also his at having to leave the planet at such a young age. I knew he had a difficult life without love and felt sorry that even the end had to be so painful for him. I was devastated realising I wouldn’t get another chance to tell him what he meant to me. Having had some spiritual knowledge by now, I reached out to him and asked him not to leave me as I loved him so much. I found out that as he crossed over and was confused, he saw me calling out to him and decided to hold on to me too.

Pam, his work manager, organised his funeral because Darryl’s mum wasn’t interested. She arranged the service where I had an opportunity to talk to the few people Darryl allowed near him. I realised that I probably came the closest to him. I felt so sorry for his difficult time. His death affected everyone and their hurt eventually healed.

But mine wouldn’t. Darryl was on my mind constantly and I felt him near me. I couldn’t understand the intensity of these feelings, since we didn’t know each other well and asked the spiritual world for help. I was rudely told Darryl was nothing to me and I should let him go. This advice made matters worse, as it stopped me in my grieving but didn’t stop the pain and my association with Darryl. It became clear to me that I was prevented in giving him my business card. He would have carried it in his wallet on the day of his accident. I would have been the first person to be contacted by the police. Had I seen him in the hospital on life support, without hope, I would most certainly have dropped dead even before his departure. Pam was contacted instead and in the absence of his family, had the difficult task of giving permission to turn off the life support.

After his passing into the spirit world, Darryl and I became close buddies, hanging on to each other for another 5 years and showering each other with love. During this time, I saw us having past lives together, some very happy ones. One really stood out. We lived in ancient Rome, Darryl being a soldier and I his wife. We had a small daughter. I saw Darryl being slaughtered by another soldier and recalled my terrible loss, which multiplied my current one! I saw myself grieving so much that I’d lost all interest in that life. I neglected my daughter and myself and spent the rest of that life pining away for him. My entire focus was on the day we would once again be united. When it finally arrived, I left my body without even a glance back and walked straight into his arms.

The pain of my current loss was bearable only with Darryl around me this time. He protected me from the other side, especially when it came to men. The warning always came through my solar plexus chakra. If I was around somebody that was not for my highest good, it was so strong that it sometimes made me throw up. I soon learnt to heed it and it helped me in many situations.


Lessons learnt:

  • You are more than a physical body

  • Astral body is made up of 7 basic chakras connecting you to your spiritual (Higher) self

  • Many lesson need multiple lifetimes to be mastered
