Learning new lessons (2005)



Once my father’s estate was sorted and Milan being taken away to jail in the late 1980’s, I decided to take a break from all the trials and tribulations and headed north to Brisbane. The pace of Queensland’s capital city was much slower and just what I needed. I found a friendly boarding house in the centre of the city and enjoyed the peace and quiet, as well as the company of its international guests. Apart from frequently visiting the stunning beaches on the Gold and Sunshine coasts, which I soon grew to love, I discovered many opportunities nearby for healing and further spiritual growth. It was a magical and fulfilling time.

I spent many long evenings sitting in the back garden observing the huge, clear sky where, unlike in Sydney, the stars were almost within reach. As I watched them, I felt a great sense of affinity with the cosmos and yearned to be out there. I soon discovered the Brisbane planetarium and spent considerable time visiting, learning about the cosmos and watching their many fascinating programs. I wondered how so many people assume to be alone in that vastness that we know about and how many more galaxies there are that we don’t know about. The probability that there are many different forms of life out there is staggering!

One of the highlights of my Brisbane stay was the meeting with dr Ian Gordon from Melbourne and his lecture on Andronicus. I had read his book,The Andronicus tapes (out of print, look in rare book shops) a few years earlier and felt greatly privileged to have been guided to his lecture. Since 1982, Ian and his group had been communicating with a number of Higher Intelligences from the “upper reaches of the cosmos”. Having revisited the book in the last few days, what they had to say over 20 years ago about the current state of our planet is downright chilling in its accuracy. Especially in view of last month’s Asian tsunami. As I keep watching the harrowing images on TV each day, a comment from a Sri Lankan priest sticks in my mind: “ It is very difficult to keep reassuring people that God loves them, amongst all this.” Yes, it is if you’re trying to explain the horrors in the conventional way. However, there is order in the universe and even a logical explanation for natural disasters such as the latest tsunami but they have to be viewed from a very different perspective.

In my own unquenchable thirst for spiritual knowledge, I regularly attended a weekly circle (i.e. spiritual class) in a nearby spiritual church where I also received considerable healing. As I continued to open my third eye, I began to see nature spirits, i.e. fairies and gnomes for the first time. There were many around me, especially around Christmas. Wonderful, sprightly, mischievous little beings that delighted in combing my hair, touching my hands, playing and flying around me. They certainly delighted me and lightened my bruised heart. I learnt a lot about their connection with and role in nature and often call for their help during natural disasters, such as frequent storms and fires we have in Australia. Lessons learnt:

  • We are NOT alone on this planet

  • There are many other humanoid beings in the universe

  • There are also many forms of spiritual beings
